Climate Change Vulnerability Assessment

 

The City of Santa Rosa prepared a Climate Change Vulnerability Assessment Report to assess the community's climate change vulnerability and address climate change adaptation and resilience as part of Santa Rosa Forward. The goal of this assessment is to enable the community to prepare for, respond to, withstand, and recover from disruptions exacerbated or caused by climate change. This report discusses the regulatory framework and method for integrating adaptation and resilience into City policies, the climate change hazards affecting the resilience of Santa Rosa, specific populations and assets included in the assessment, and a summary of the climate change vulnerability assessment results. The report builds off the workshop series conducted by EcoAdapt in January 2021 and uses the Climate Vulnerability and Adaptation Report for Santa Rosa for climate change hazard projections, populations and assets, potential impacts, and adaptive capacity.
